The purpose of this study was to implement and examine a parent coaching program that targeted parents with kindergarten children aged 3 to 5. In the process, it examined the effects of this program on parental anger, parenting stress and parental self-efficacy. The program was designed to reduce some of the anger and stress associated with child-rearing, enhancing the parents' self-efficacy and helping the parents better cope with their child-rearing situation. Parents who wanted to participated in this program were randomly divided into two groups: 14 in the experimental group and 14 in the controlled group. Also for a quantitative analysis the data were processed by mixed ANOVA through SPSS/WIN 18.0. Results suggested that the program was effective in reducing parental anger, stress with parental self-efficacy positively enhanced. Limitations to the current study and recommendations for further research are discussed.
