본 연구는 대학생의 진로지도를 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 일환으로 대학 내 정규교육과정으로 운영되는 진로교육 교과목을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위한 진로교육 교과목은 국내에 발표된 진로교육 모형과 대학생을 대상으로 진행된 진로 집단상담 프로그램 및 연구들을 토대로 자신의 진로를 결정하고 준비할 수 있는 것에 초점을 두고 개발되었다. 그 내용으로는 바람직한 사회인으로서의 이행을 위한「진로를 위한 효율적인 대학생활 설계」를 목적으로 네 가지 주요영역과 이를 수행하기 위한 세부영역으로 구성되었다. 연구대상으로는 충남에 위치한 N대학교의 교양과정 수업 중 ‘대학생활의 설계’라는 교과목으로 남녀학생 189명의 실험집단과 동일한 인원으로 다른 교양강좌를 수강하는 남녀학생 189명을 통제집단으로 설정하여 진행하였다. 실험집단에는 오리엔테이션 회기를 포함하여 총 15주(주 1회, 2시간)의 본 진로교육 교과목을 처치하였으며, 통제집단은 학생들 지도를 위한 다른 교양수업을 처치하였다. 본 연구를 수행하는 데 있어서 자료의 처리는 실험효과를 검증하기 위하여 대학생을 대상으로 한 진로연구 중 교과내용을 고려하여 추출된 자아정체성, 진로태도성숙, 진로결정수준 척도를 일반선형모형으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 대학생을 위한 진로교육 교과목의 개발이 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라는 본 연구의 가설은 지지되었으며 실험집단은 통제집단에 비하여 각 척도가 의미있게 향상되었다. 따라서 개발된 진로교육 교과목이 대학생들의 진로지도에 효과가 있었음을 알 수 있었으며 정규교육과정으로의 진로교육 교과목의 개발은 진로교육의 확대화, 활성화에 영향을 미칠 것이라고 기대해본다.


The study is to develop a career educational program, which is run as regular courses in the college in order to efficiently educate college students' career development, and to verify the effectiveness of the program. The career educational program was developed to focus on that the college students is to decide their own career paths based upon career group counseling programs, which were performed for college students with career development models published in Korea, and their results and to prepare them. The career educational program has an objective for ‘career plan and efficient design for college life’ in order to pursue desirable social being. It consists of four main categories, which are understanding on oneself, understanding on job fields, career choice and decision, and career plan and strategy, and details to carry out the four main categories. To test the effectiveness of the program, 189 male and female students who took a class titled ‘Design for college life’ offered at the college of liberal arts in 4-year ‘N’ university in Choongchungnam-do were sampled to form a experiment group. And 189 male and female students who took the other liberal art courses were sampled to form a control group. In the experiment group, the period of this study was performed 2 hours once a week for total 15 weeks including the orientation session. In the control group, the period of other course was also performed 2 hours once a week for 15 weeks. In order to verify the experimental effect of the career education program data processing in performing this study utilized the general linear model analysis with the self identity, the maturity of career behavior, the career exploration behavior, and the level of decision making on career paths as the criteria, which are extracted considering education contents among career studies for the college students. As a result, the hypothesis of this study, that developing the career education program for the college students provides good effect, was supported, and each criterion of the experiment group was significantly improved as compared with the control group. Also, it can be seen that the developed career education program provided good effects on the career development for the college students. When considering the youth unemployment and the numerical growth in the accumulated college graduates, there was a limit of accepting many students with only the career consulting programs or the group consulting programs for existing college students. Therefore, developing the career education course will provide effects on expansion of the career education, and it also indicates that the career education course has to be activated.
