This Article is based on the presupposition that the contemporary crisis of the Korean Christianity is caused by negative affections of the Korean society. The factor of these affections would be thought as the problem of socialization. Korean churches have socialized their members in a wrong way, namely a belligerent manner, letting off emotion, extremely extrovert expression of faith, and lack of concern about social problems. The worship in Korean churches is to be regarded as a place, where their members would be socialized as Christian faithful people, just as every ritual has the function of socialization. During the worship, they internalize a Christian value system, a orientation of their daily life, a pattern of moral action, and a bodily attitude to the other people and the world. Therefore, their individual characters are formed by languages, attitudes, and moral practices, which are embodied in the worship. The Korean Christianity can be characterized as a set of same affections and virtues. So the negative assesment from the Korean society is ascribed to a false socialization through the inadequate worshipping. A concrete normative pattern of affections and virtues is formed in the liturgical prayer. Therefore, adequate forms of communal prayer and intercession prayer are necessary. Also metaphors which are formed and expressed in preaching, prayer, hymns and images, should be changed from the belligerent into the peaceful, because they have influence on the attitude and action of community members.
