This study were performed to develop the selective purification method of waste chicken oil for using bioenergy source and animal feed. The waste chicken oil was purified by the degumming, deacidification, and bleaching process. The performance of purified chicken-oil was evaluated by the acidic value and absorbance(400nm). The chicken-oil was degummed by 0.1~0.3wt% of phosphoric acid, citric acid, and acetic acid, Also, was bleached by the activated acidic clay, acidic clay, and bentonite, The acid value was more decreased when phosphoric acid used than citric acid and acetic acid in the degumming process. The optimum adsorbent of bleaching process was the activated acidic clay. The contents of fatty acid methyl ester was reached to about 92.8% in the transesterification reaction of the purified chicken oil.
