One of the common issues in planing of museum architecture is the remaining possibility for its expanse in the future. Especially in the case of a science museum, changing cycle of social demands is short and exhibition contents, collections and methods are variated so rapidly. So, this study aims to research the renovation method of exhibition area in a science museums. Therefore, in this paper it deals with the National Science Museum of Korea as analytic object, using analysis space organization and circulation of exhibition area and survey examples for exhibition display of overseas facilities. In conclusion, through comparing and examining analytic object of this paper and foreign superior cases, examine the four major premises: securing areas, creating efficient exhibition environments, adjusting the viewing order, and reconsidering the application of space.
