이 연구는 청보리 품종의 수확시기별 예건을 통한 수분 변 화와 그에 따른 사일리지의 품질을 검토하고자 출수 후 20일 부터 10일 간격으로 3회 수확하고 각 수확시기별로 0, 4, 8, 32시간 예건하여 관련내용을 분석하였다. 그 결과 청보리는 출 수 후 20일과 30일 정도에 수확을 할 경우 포장조건에서 4시 간 정도 예건을 하면 사일리지 제조상의 적정 수분함량인 65%에 도달할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사일리지의 사료가 치로서 단백질 함량은 60~65%에서 높게 나타났고, NDF와 ADF는 낮았으며, TDN과 RFV는 높게 나타났다. 사일리지 발 효상태를 보여주는 pH와 유기산은 수분함량의 변화에 따라 많 은 차이를 보였는데, 60~65%의 수분조건에서 젖산 함량이 가 장 높게 나타났고, 초산과 낙산이 낮게 나타났다. 따라서 농가 가 양질의 청보리 사일리지를 생산하기 위해서는 출수 후 30 일경에 도달한 청보리를 수확한 후 4시간 정도의 포장 예건을 거쳐 결속해야 할 것이다.


This study was carried out to examine the effect of pre-wilting time at different stage of harvest on change in the moisture content of whole crop barley(WCB) and its silage quality. Results showed that moisture content of whole crop barley could reach to 65%, which is an optimal content for making silage, by pre-wilting whole crop barley for 4 hours after harvest at either 20 days or 30 days after heading. As the feed value of silage, its protein content, TDN and RFV was high but ADF was low at an optimal level of moisture content, 60~65%. The pH and organic acid content, criteria for evaluating silage fermentation, were quite varied by the changes in moisture content. The highest content of lactic acid and low content of acetic acid and butyric acid were measured at the level of an optimal moisture content, indicating an efficient silage fermentation. In conclusion, 4 hours of pre-wilting after harvesting WCB could be an efficient way to increase the stability of silage under aerobic condition result in improving the quality and feed value of silage.
