The aim of this research was to study the effects of 12-weeks combined exercise program which includes aerobic and resistance exercise concurrently targeting elderly women(50-65yrs) on blood lipids and cardiovascular disease risk factor. In order to determine the effects of combined exercise on blood lipids, WBC, Fibrinogen and CRP, subjects of study were divided into two groups randomly; combined exercise group(n=18) and aerobic exercise group(n=18). Combined exercise program consistes of two program, aerobic program was 50-70% HRmax, for 20 minutes and resistance program was 1RM 50-70% for 20 minutes, 3 times a week during the 12 weeks. The major results of the research are as follows: First, TC, TG and LDL-C were, in the case of blood lipids, differented significantly in the aerobic exercise group(TC(p<.05), TG(p<.01) and LDL-C(p<.05)) and combined exercise group(TC(p<.01), TG(p<.01) and LDL-C(p<.001). Second, there was, in the case of the risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, a significant decreased in the fibrinogen(p<.05) and CRP(p<.05). In conclusion, the combined exercise did showed good effect on blood lipids and cardiovascular disease risk factor in elderly women.
