The purpose of this research is to study the consumers’ satisfaction on fitness centers operated by foreign operators and general fitness centers located in Korea. It will compare the fitness centers according to their general characteristics and find if they have differences in satisfaction. It will suggest the marketing strategy for efficient operation of the fitness centers. To achieve the goal of this study, it had 6 physical factors such as sex, age, major, instruction experience and satisfaction degree according to their academic background. Then it studied satisfaction degree of facilities, program, cost, services, event and the other factors. It used Spss12.0 program. It performed t-test and one-way ANOVA. It used Scheffe method for later verification. The results are as follows.1) Fitness centers operated by foreign operatorsFirst, women showed higher program and event satisfaction degree than men.Second, groups of aged less than 20 showed higher satisfaction degree of others than the other groups.Third, groups of academic background of more than graduate schools showed low service satisfaction degree than the other groups.Fourth, groups who have exercised between 7-12 months showed higher facilities satisfaction than the other groups.* 이 논문은 인천대학교 2006학년도 자체 연구비지원에 의하여 연구되었음.인천대학교402-749인천시 남구 도화동 177번지1.
