Torsional behavior may be occurred in the structure during seismic attack due to several reasons. Current seismic codes deal with the torsional behavior using design eccentricity which finally amplifies the design loads. However those design methods are based on the static elastic state of the structure and hard to consider torsional behavior effectively. This study aims to propose the inelastic design displacement and rotation, which may be used in the displacement-based design procedure. The proposed design displacements are verified by comparing with the results of time history analyses. 9 typical eccentric structures were analyzed for 3 different excitation data.
