The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of group game activities participated in kindergarten children joyfully on a social competence and interpersonal cognitive problem-solving skill.The subjects were 40 kindergarten children of R private kindergarten located in Wonju city.The investigation instrument used this study was PSP(Preschool Social Affective Profile) development by La Freniere, Dumas, Capuano & Dubeau(1992). This PSP was instrument which estimate teacher twelve problems felt children in various problem situations, and was composed of three subordinate contexts(social competence, anger and attack attitude, and anxiety). To measure considerations solving interpersonal problem in an infant, Park(1986)'s questionnaire based on Interpersonal Cognitive Problem Solving Test of Spivack et al.(1976) was used. This instrument was composed of four subordinate contexts(alternative solving thinking, result estimate thinking, causal thinking, and objective thinking).To analyze the difference between the group, the data processing method was used t-test. The conclusion were as follows;First, according to group activity, social competence of an infant was higher, and anger and attack attitude, and anxiety was lower, and the significant difference statistically was showed between two groups. Second, according to group activity, in the alternative solving thinking, result estimate thinking, and objective thinking, the significant difference statistically was showed between two groups.In conclusion, the social competence and the thinking of interpersonal cognitive problem-solving skill were affected positively by the group activities of an infant.
