During the past decade, motivated by increasing risk and uncertainty within the economic environment, the domain for doing business has gone through unprecedented revolutionary changes mainly by the opportunities and proliferation of cooperative strategies. It means that it is no more the best way to struggle for defeating your competitors, because it is generally accepted that firms are able to get much more chances for gains by cooperating, not competing predatorily, with other parties in your field, though they‘re your competitors. This study examines the performance drivers of strategic alliances forms by 96 Korean firms in service industries. To test the hypotheses developed for this research, the survey questionnaire created and used though self-completion, and then analyzed by using SPSS/WIN 12.0 and AMOS 4.01 strategics program. The result shows that the alliance capability investment such as alliance function, manual, and training would be beneficial to a firm entering into cooperative relationships. And also, the result shows that the investment in and establishment the environmental fit and mutual learning would be advantageous to the higher alliance performance.
