본고에서는 Ys 3장 18송에 대한 주석 Ybh에 나타나는 parajti에 타인의 전생과 나의 내생이라는 이중적 해석의 여지가 있다고 보고, 게송의 이해를 통해 그 의미를 밝혀보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 해당 부분에 대한 복주의 해석을 살펴보고, 현대 학자들의 번역을 비교해 보았다. 그리고 게송의 형식에 있어서 상야마(sayama)의 생략과 지각되지 않는 마음의 속성으로서의 잠행력(saskra), 잠행력을 인식하기 위한 수단인 추리(anumna)를 중요하게 다루었다. 이러한 게송의 이해를 통해 parajti가 가질 수 있는 의미의 영역을 제한하여 최종적으로 Ybh에 나타난 parajti는 ‘타인의 전생’을 의도한 것이라고 결론지었다.


The parajāti of Ybh 3. 18 is having duplex meaning. So each commentator and morden scholar makes two different interpretation, subsequent life of mine and previous life of others. We must treated whole the sentence that contained this duplex meaning for solve this problem. For this, we must understand that the saMskAra as object having peculiarity and the basic prerequisite which perception of the saMskAra leads logic and experience certainly. And the objective of the Ys. 3. 18, I think that propositions of the logic for Ys 1 and 2 there is a place where it applies with the subject which is an acquisition of the knowledge against a previous life. It follows hereupon and it perceives the saMskAra in set of the recognition means for and recognition means to follow, phase of the saMskAra which changes, against the recognition method back of the saMskAra which it follows in phase difference it investigated. It was like that and it grasped to this song with two branch structure, ‘saMyama about saMskAra → sAkSAt-kAraNa about saMskAra → knowledge of previous life’ and ‘sAmanya from anumAna → The vizeSa which leads an experience → saMyama about saMskAra’ I think the supernatural power and being absurd it disregards and being overconfident is a place where it understands the Ys and entirely the help does not become. I think that it is more important to grasp the logical structure which the Ys and the Ybh are having.
