The Journal of Studies in Language 22.3, 29-48. This paper has a goal to see the differences in narrative structure when a story with the same plot is in two different genre; novel and oral narrative story. A novel has formal characteristics which any novel is required, but oral narratives are much more free from fixed forms. The plot of a story change, other episodes are added or omitted by narrative situations, for example, narrative place, time, and education levels and reaction of the audience. Therefore this study is about the narrative structure, which changes by the texts, and analysis of narrative structure as the parameters. Cognitive parameters are set up into five categories TELLING, VIEWING, EXPERIENCING, ACTION REFLECTING (October 25, 2006)
