Modern society requires well qualified professionals who can handle at least two languages to cope with the changing economic and political situation. People can be very confident about themselves if they become bilingual speakers. The purpose of this study is to investigate (a) the benefits of bilingualism in EFL context, (b) the six subjects' successful learning strategies and (c) how the six bilinguals view the importance of the mother tongue. The researcher observed and interviewed three Mongolian and three Korean students who are studying at the graduate school in Mongolia. The six subjects are fluent bilingual students who want to be good English teachers. The result of this study shows that maintaining mother tongue is important and successful bilingualism is possible in the EFL context. Interdependence theory has been proved in this study.
