본 연구는 한국남성과 결혼한 이민자 여성이 급증하고 있는 현실에서 충북지역 결혼이민자 여성의 생활실태를 살펴보고, 그 대책을 제시하였다. 첫째, 한국 사회에 빨리 적응하고, 훌륭한 인적자원으로서 활동하기 위해서는 의사소통 능력으로서 언어교육, 둘째, 여성이민자자립을 위한 중단기 직업훈련교육, 셋째, 문화적 차이 극복을 위한 문화 교육 등이 우리의 관점뿐 아니라 이민자여성의 관점에서 가족의 지원, 사회적 지원 등 다양한 접근이 이루어져야 할 것이다.


1. Purpose of Study This study aims at exploring the life status of marriage immigrant women in Choongbuk Region, and the factors to influence the status and life satisfaction of diverse educational businesses helping stable settlement and adjustment, providing basic data for program development and search for new support methods. 2. Research Methods A questionnaire research was conducted to the trainees by direct visit to educational institutions Nov. 20 through Dec. 07, 2006 for the survey of status to the women marriage immigrants in Choongbuk Region. As the data analysis method, SPSS statistical program was used. 3. Support Plan First, the women marriage immigrants should be developed as manpower fit for the characteristics of each region, of which the nation, local government, local residents should take common part. Second, the most difficult aspect in Korean life is communication, about which Korea should help them receive learning. Progressive support and effort is necessary to expand educational opportunity in a near distance, and resolve children upbring problem through family and care facility while receiving education. Third, so far, manpower resources development has been proceeded as a uniform education focusing on the woman herself such as Korean, culture and computer etc. However, now a support program is necessary to cover couples, women marriage immigrants, children, and community. Fourth, on along term basis, educational programs should develop various measures connecting to the vocational training for women's economic self-supporting. Fith, a multi-cultural education is necessary to understand the culture of women marriage immigrants, and respect for and maintain their culture through child-care homes, schools, families, and community from my own culture's viewpoint.
