The purpose of this study is to estimate the city of environment capacity by analyzing the ecological footprint of 35 cities of the country. It was presented the environmental characteristics and management methods of each city after sorting out through cluster analysis as similar city groups depending on the behavior of consumption. According to the result of cluster analysis, the cluster I is the big size of industrial area. It is the lowest in ecological deficit, but the energy footprint is much higher than other cities. The cluster II is the agropolitan city which includes a lot of suburbs. It has a characteristic of mixed pattern of city and country in using grounds. The cluster III is of the most cities that show the forest footprint is much higher than others and even the forest spending surpasses the production of forest. The cluster Ⅳ is shown as typically centralized city type area which is fairly high in city-side land use, but very low in percentage of forests and using suburbs.
