This study was to develop a group counselling program for improving relational growth for college students couples and to examine the effectiveness of this program. The theoretical framework of the program was Satir's family therapy theory, focusing on primary triad experiences in the family-of-origin. The participants were eight couples, half of them were the experimental group and the other half were the control group. The experimental group participated in an eight session program for four weeks, each of which was 180 minutes long, and no experiment was applied to the control group. The results showed that the group counseling program was effective in increasing the levels of self-esteem, functional communication style, and dating relationship satisfaction.
