본 연구에서는 유아를 대상으로 구어인 이야기말하기와 문어인 이야기쓰기의 이야기 구조개념과 이야기의 양, 품사 및 문장의 유형을 분석하여 말하기와 쓰기 간의 관련성을 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 5세반(만 6세) 유아 95명을 대상으로, 이야기말하기와 이야기쓰기를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 이야기말하기와 이야기쓰기의 이야기 구조개념은 상관이 있었다. 이야기의 길이는 말하기가 쓰기보다 길었으나 문장 당 평균단어수는 비슷한 수준이었으며, 이야기의 길이에 있어서 말하기와 쓰기 간에 상관관계는 없었다. 이야기 꾸미기에 사용한 품사 및 문장의 유형은 말하기와 쓰기가 유사한 것으로 나타났다.


The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between children's story-telling and story-writing through the analysis of structural concepts of story-telling and story-writing as well as the length of stories, and the types of sentences and parts of speech. For this study, tests on story concept and written story structure were conducted, with 95 children aged 6 as subjects. This study has found that there is a relationship between story structure concepts of story-telling and story-writing. The stories were longer in story-telling than in story-writing. Yet, both showed almost the same level as far as the number of words used per sentence was concerned. There was no relationship between story-telling and story-writing in terms of the story length. The types of sentences and parts of speech used in making stories were found to be similar in story-telling and story-writing.
