To obtain a high laser output power, we designed a diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser module by using a conduction-cooled Spectralon reflector as an optical pump cavity. From the designed single laser module, a laser output power of 602 W was obtained with an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 33.4 %. By using dual laser modules in a linear resonator, we could obtain a stable laser output power of 1 kW with an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 30 %. In addition, we used a ray-propagation matrix method to theoretically analyze the resonator stability condition.
