A Study on the Change of Viewpoint and Pointing Spot in Reading Education Cha, Ho-Il This thesis is study on the change of viewpoint and pointing spot in reading education. The reading education has been changed in variation of psychological viewpoint. That is, they are behaviorism viewpoint, cogniti- vism viewpoint, and social constructivism viewpoint. The behaviorism viewpoint put emphasis on decoding and the cogniti- vism viewpoint put emphasis on processing of meaning construction and social-constructivism viewpoint put emphasis on contexts. But these variations do not mean that one viewpoint fully disappears and the other viewpoint of reading education has control of reading education. Each viewpoint of reading education coexists with mutual strong point and weak point, even though it has a difference of strength. Besides, we recently put positive concern in cultural viewpoint, commu- nicational viewpoint, and ecological viewpoint. These are reflected contem- porary discourse. These are all non-psychological. We need to accept this reading education viewpoint in our reading class. The coming reading education must point to integrated and whole viewpoint. Because only one viewpoint fully do not explain reading educa- tion contexts. We need to accept a proper reading education theory to reading contexts, and then it has to be actualized to come true.
