A dynamic quantum control of three-color light in an optically dense medium is presented. We discuss how to stop three-color light pulses effectively in the medium by using three control laser fields at near resonant transitions, by satisfying electromagnetically induced transparency. This shows potential applications in quantum coherent control of multiple traveling light pulses for quantum memory and quantum switching, which are essential components in multi-party quantum optical communications.
