As part of preparation for therapeutic proton beam monitoring, we have developed a 2D positionsensitive dosimetry system and a multi-layer Faraday cup (MLFC). The 2D dosimetry system consists of a scintillator screen and a CCD camera to capture light emitted from the proton beam bombardment with a spatial resolution better than 1 mm. The MLFC is used to swiftly measure the proton range and the depth dose distributions. To investigate the performance of the CCD and MLFC systems, we used the 20- to 38-MeV proton beams at the Korea Institute of Radiological & Medical Science (KIRAMS) to measure the 2D dose distributions, the depth dose distributions with a phantom, and the proton ranges. In addition, Monte-Carlo simulations were performed to compare with the experimental results. Both systems showed reliable performance for use as convenient tools for proton beam quality monitoring.\JK
