Education about Religions in Korea― focus on a secondary mission schools ―Byoungchul, KoThe purpose of this research is to investigate education about religions in Korea. Through the process of this research, I tried to find out points of issue of education about religions and examined the new directions of education about religions that should be pursued in the near future.To achieve these purposes, in chapter 1, I reviewed the history of Korean education to know problems of education about religions. In chapter 2, in the title of 'diagnosis of education about religions' I reviewed the actual conditions as well as the present conditions . In chapter 3, 'points at issue relating education about religions', I reviewed issues of education about religions. The first issue was the identity of religious education that have been three oppositional points of views after the time of 4th. national curriculum standard. The second issue was the possibility of connection between 'religious education' and 'character education' including 'moral education' and 'emotional education'. The third issue was freedom of religion.In chapter 4, I suggested 'reflexive education about religions', pursued in the near future. It includes consciousness of self-consciousness, Korean multi-religious society, the intention of national curriculum standard. Also, in this paper, I proposed the integrated modelling based on the reconceptualization of hidden and manifest curriculum to disentangle complicated matters among education about religions.
