Ⅰ. 서론


Cooperative financial institutions in Korea developed employing appropriate business strategies adapting to the environments. In the new globally competitive environment starting since after the financial crisis in 1997, the old drivers of competitive advantage have been ineffective.Thus the newmanagement paradigm and strtegies are required for the cooperative financial institutions to enjoy further successful growth.In this deregulated competitive environment, market orientation is essential as a basic management paradigm. Based on the market orientation concept, the long-term business strategies, marketing strategies, and organizational strategies should be formulated.Since the grand trend of financial industries is all-finance service to customers, a national organization of financial institutions should become efficient all-finance supplier for customers directly in a way and indirectly through member cooperative financial institutions in another way. For efficient delivery of finacial services to the final target customers, the member cooperatives should play the roles of regional banks.
