본 연구는 반응성 애착장애(RAD) M에게 미술치료에 의해 자기 통제능력과 상호작용능력 향상에 미치는 효과성을 알아내기 위해서 준비단계와 치료회기 19회, 추후 관찰회기 3회를 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 미술치료가 RAD아동의 자기통제능력향상, 상호작용능력향상에 미치는 효과를 논의하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미술치료 전․후별 자기통제능력을 비교해 본 결과 치료 전에는 고집이 세고 숫자쓰기에 집착하며, 욕구좌절에 의해 울기 시작하면 큰소리를 내면서 오랫동안 우는 자기통제의 능력이 부족하였으나 미술치료 후 향상되었다. 둘째, 미술치료 전․후 상호작용능력을 비교해 본 결과 치료 전에는 눈맞춤을 하지 않았으며, 안겨도 뻣뻣하여 친밀감에 대한 두려움을 느끼며 혼자 놀려고만 하는 행동을 보여 상호작용능력이 부족하였으나 미술치료를 통해 개선되었다.


The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of art therapy on improvement of The RAD child's self-control and interaction ability. The subject of this case study was a RAD child diagnosed by DSM-Ⅳ. The total 22 sessions took place 50minutes twice a week from June 2002 to August 2002. He has been observed before and after the art therapy by parents, kindergartener and therapist Main findings of this study were as follows : First, RAD child's self-control ability was increased through art therapy. There was a significant change in RAD child' behaviors observed by parents, kindergartener and therapist: Less obstinacy, decreased number writing, and faded extensive crying Second, Interaction ability was improved through art therapy: Less avoidance of proximity to the therapist, more exploratory, more eye contact, less withdraws from social interaction. The results supported that art therapy was a useful intervention for improvement of RAD child' self-control and interaction ability.
