This study divided middle-aged women into jogging, aero-bike and swimming groups, conducted exercise for 12 weeks and analyzed the effects of these exercises on their health related physical strength and changes of subcutaneous fat in order to prevent obesity of middle-aged women and improve their strength. It performed exercise at a sports center in G metropolitan city with total 60 middle-aged women in their forties from 20 subjects in each group, calculated mean and standard deviation using SPSS 11.0, conducted one-way ANOVA and paired sample t-test and then obtains the following conclusions. 1. Changes of muscular strength before and after exercise showed statistically significant difference in swimming and aero-bike groups (p<.05), those of muscular endurance before and after exercise showed a significant difference in jogging, swimming and aero-bike groups and differential test by types of exercise showed statistically significant difference at the level of p<.001. 2. Changes of flexibility before and after exercise showed statistically significant difference in jogging and swimming groups (p<.001), those of cardiopulmonary endurance before and after exercise showed statistically significant difference in jogging and swimming groups (p<.001) and aero-bike group (p<.01) and differential test in flexibility and cardiopulmonary endurance by types of exercise showed statistically significant difference(p<.001). 3. Changes of physical composition by types of exercise before and after exercise showed significant difference at subscapular part in the three groups. Abdominal and front thigh parts also showed statistically significant difference (p<.05) and test by groups showed significant difference at abdominal part (p<.001) and subscapular part (p<.01) for jogging, swimming and aero-bike groups.
