This study is to define the relationship between sports value and attitude according to articipation area of university liberal physical education. Concretely, this study's aim is to re-illuminate the viewpoint implicated in sports value and attitude according to participation area of university liberal physical education in regard to the relationship between participation area, sports value, and attitude in university liberal physical education, and to offer some basic data to set up any establishment and orientation of more desirable university physical education. in order to fulfill such aim, this study set up as a population the students who took 1nd semester's liberal physical education subject of Yeongdong Region's Universities in 2004 and carried out the sampling by using stratified cluster random sampling. Among the questionnaire data collected to fulfill the study's aim, the ones judged to be short of described contents and lacking in responded contents' reliability in the data retrieval process were excluded in analysis, and any analyzable data were encoded into computer before processing them according to data analysis' objective through SPSS 10.0 for Window program. For the sake of analysis's sake, the techniques of statistical analysis used in this study include factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The conclusions drawn through the above study method and result analysis are as follows. First, there are some significant differences between liberal participation area and sports value. That is, more sociable value was represented to have statistically more significant consequences. Second, there are some significant differences between participation area and sports attitude in liberal physical education. That is, more personal attitude was represented to have statistically more significant consequences.
