시각장애아동의 사회적 유능감에 관한 고찰


The purpose of this article was to review the empirical studies which described the social characteristics of children and adolescents with visual impairments. In this review, major research topics relevant to social competence of children with visual impairments for each of the age levels were identified as follows: (a) attachment and play behaviors for infants and preschool-age children; (b) peer relationships and social cognition for elementary-school children; and (c) social network, social adjustment, and social skills for adolescents with visual impairments. This review focused only on the empirical studies whose purpose was to describe the social characteristics of the participants with visual impairments. This article concluded with a discussion of the implications for practice and research in the field of education for students with visual impairments.<key words>Social Competence, Social Development, Social Skills, Visual Impairment, Blindness, Low Vision
