The purpose of this study is to suggest the planning concept about the location of Neighborhood Commercial Facilities in Apartment District on the basis of users evaluation. At first, the location types of Neighborhood Commercial Facilities in Apartment District have been drawn from the study of precedent researches and the analysis of 53 housing site plans in Bundang Apartment Area. Then four sample housing sites having about 1000 households have been selected from them in order to do in-depth survey using questionnaire related to Users Evaluation (Satisfaction Rate, Utilization Rate, Preference Rate) on the location types of Neighborhood Commercial Facilities. The results of this research are as follows. First. the location types of Neighborhood Commercial Facilities in Apartment District have been classified into four (Entrance Type, Central Type, Scattered Type, and Outside Type) according to the location and the degree of congregation of Neighborhood Commercial Facilities. Second, The degree of residents satisfaction, utilization and preference on Entrance Types is the highest among 4 types. Third, the residents satisfaction rate on the Neighborhood Commercial Facilities varies according to the distance between residents housing block and Neighborhood Commercial Facilities. Generally it can be said that the closer the distance, the higher the residents satisfaction. But the satisfaction rate of residents living too close(0-50m) to Neighborhood Commercial Facilities is lower than that of residents living moderate close (50-100m) to those. Fourth, Each of the satisfaction rate and the preference rate of merchandises on Entrance Type is highest among 4 types. These results mean that it is necessary to consider first the Entrance Type in positioning the Neighborhood Commercial Facilities of Apartment District with 1000 households or so.
