Subway can be one of the alternatives to reduce energy consumption caused by the transportation vehicles. Therefore many countries lead people to use subway by supplying comfort subway indoor environment, and various researches have been performed to improve subway indoor environment still now. Among many problems related to subway environment, the most serious one is the discomfort owing to high air velocity generated by train wind.This study, as the first step to improve the subway environment, aims to understand the air movement characteristics and extract the typical air velocity pattern in subway station. In the M-station, the air velocity at 10 points are measured and analyzed by train coming and going. Consequently, we can extract typical air velocity pattern in subway station and it will be useful information to find alternatives improving subway indoor environment.
