The purpose of this study was to propose the restructuring direction of Korean architectural education system through the investigation on the architectural education, licensing and registration of architects focusing on the cases of U.K., France, Germany, U.S.A. and Korea. Education system, validation, studio and practical training was examined for education. Number of school, enrolled and graduate student and licensing was examined for license. Economic growth rate, construction industry index and registration number was for registration. Restructuring directions were as follows; education system is constituted with multi-phases, and licensing is not related with registration fluctuated to economic status but school and students number.
