A study on magnetic- eld-(B)-dependent blue shifts of photoluminescence has been performed on a quantum wire (QWR) superlattice at B  30 T at LHe temperature. For GaAs/Al0:5Ga0:5As QWR grown by migration enhanced epitaxy on tilted-cut substrate, the e ectiveness of 2-D con- nement is analyzed by the dimensionality factor RD through the comparison of diamagnetic and Landau shifts. It is signi cant that the electronic wavefunction penetrates more into the quantum barrier in narrow-wire-width QWR, and the excitonic behavior experiences lateral con nement con rming the presence of 1-D characteristics.
