Vidian neurectomy is indicated mainly in resistant cases of vasomotor and allergic rhinitis, and recurent nasal polyposis. The ches have been suggested for vidian neurectomy, including transantral, transpalatal, transnasal, transeptal. Transnasal vidian neurectomy was sugested by many authors. A decade ago, Kamel advocated the use of nasal endoscope to the vidian nerve through the sphenopalatine foramen which is located behind and slightly above the attachment of posterior end of middle tur-inate. Nasal endoscopic approach has several advantages over the other approaches. The purpose of this article is to present a on the transnasal vidian neurectomy for intractable alergic rhinitis.
