The aim of this project was to produce pure sed which F1 hybrids were very excellent in yield components with hybridvigour. The work was caried out to produce the seds with maintenance of purity in an isolated P.E. film house, to investigate theeffect of seed production by the distance of the row from the polen source as planted paterns with female to male row ratios, toprotect pollen dispersal by intect and wind in open-field. To test combining ability and regional adaptation, the seds of F1 hybridwere produced through artificial crossing method to maintain the purity during winter season in an isolated P.E. film house. In thecomparison of sed production in terms of diferent planting patterns with female to male row ratios of 1 : 1, 2 : 1, 3 : 1, 4 : 1,5 : 1, and 6 : 1, the planted paterns with female to male row ratios of 4 : 1 was more efective than any other plnted pattern. In thesed production of F1 hybrids with open-field, it was required far distance more than 1.8 km to protect polen contamination by pol-len dipersal. Agronomic characteristics such as flowering date and plant height of female and male are very important elements forthe sed production of F1 hybrids. The flowering date of female parent were faster two days than male parent and the plant heightwas nearly same.
