The purpose of this study is to explore parents’ consciousness about the educational system in Korea, using focus group interview as a method. The objective of public communication campaign focuses on the group’s intension to influence other groups’ beliefs or behavior through mass media channels. In this sense, public campaign can be applied in terms of methods for educational reform. This research was motivated by a simple fact which education is the most important system in Korea. The results of this analysis suggest that many parents in Korea spent a lot of money for an extracurricular lesson. In conclusion, reading program for children, as a public campaign, can play an important role to develop creative power.
