The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of adult women's obesity condition on Body composition, Fitness ability and Cardiopulmonary. This study used the materials of adult 302women who took a physical prescription test from 1997 to 1999 at exercise prescription laboratory in Busan. Subjects divided three groups on %Fat - Standard weight group(29%below), Overweight group(30~34%), and Obesity group(35%over). The results of this study were as follows; According to analysis of Body composition on obesity condition, Triceps and Subscapular very showed significant increases(p<.001). %Fat, Fat, and %LBM very showed significant differences(p<.001). LBM showed significant difference at obesity group(p<.01). According to analysis of Fitness ability on obesity condition, Muscle Strength(Grip Strength) significantly increased at overweight group(p<.01). Muscle Strength(Back Strength), Flexibility(Trunk Flexion), and Balance(Closed Eyes One-Foot) showed no significant differences. Power(Standing Broad Jump), Agility(Side Step Test), and Muscle Endurance(Sit-Up) showed significant decreases on obesity condition. Cardiopulmonary on obesity condition According to analysis of Pulmonary Function at rest on obesity condition, FVC significantly increased at overweight group. FEV1 and MVV showed no signigicant differences. HRmax significantly increased at standard weight group. VO₂max showed significant decrease on obesity condition(p<.05, p<.001).
