The purpose of this study is to examine a response of heart rate and blood lactate on maximal exercise test and analyze exercise intensity on training programs in modern dance, Korean dance, and ballet. The subjects are 22 female dancers of middle and high school students. Maximal exercise fitness is measured by heart rate, blood lactate and duration time on treadmill. Training times are 105 minutes in modern dance, 85 minutes in Korean dance, and 85 minutes in ballet. Exercise intensity of training program is converted into %HRmax. The results are as follow; In maximal exercise fitness, no significant difference has shown on each dances. Heart rate and blood lactate are significantly recovered after exercise. Exercise intensities of training program are from 44.9%HRmax to 76.6%HRmax on modern dance, 54.1%HRmax to 91.5%HRmax on Korean dance, and 61.2%HRmax to 85.2%HRmax on ballet. From these results, we understood the physiological effectiveness on exercise intensity of training program.
