Synonym, because of the semantic identity, competes continually to conserve its proper semantic domain. As the effect of this competition, every synonym occurs the synthesis and the division of meaning. In the analysis of causes which make the changes, I analyzed the causes of current phenomenon founding upon the effects of synonymic rivalry which are represented as extinction, division and coexistence of meaning.(1) The extinction of meaning is occurred by the non-conservation of its proper semantic domain, one word including another word completely in the meaning denotation.(2) The division of meaning is the effect of efforts to conserve the coexistence. There are some words that survived together in the competition. These words conserve firmly their proper semantic domain and roles, and coexist dividing their meaning.(3) The coexistence of synonym means the continuance of non-division, and the examples of this case have more synonymic parts than allo-semic parts.
