The nature of <75cho> cannot be understood, as it is but syllabism. We must survey <75cho> from a syllabic point of view because the Korean poem is a syllabic one.In the 1900s, it was certain that the 75cho traveled from Japan to the Korean poem. The attempt to imitate the Japanese 75cho in the Korean poem failed. The reason it failed is derived from the difference of the metrical nature between the Korean poem and the Japanese one. But here is the problem. What we call <75cho> is not really 75cho imitated from the Japanese 75cho. Researchers have been mistaken when they concluded that <75cho=ballad rhythm=traditional rhythm>. Actually <75cho> in the Korean poem is the same as the Korean four-yulo-gu and different from Japanese 75cho.Thus, we cannot use the term 75cho  for a description of a Korean poem. The reason we can say that Sowol’s poem has traditional rhythm is not because it uses Japanese 75cho but because it took over the Korean traditional rhythm. Therefore, the theory <75cho=ballad rhythm=traditional rhythm> is absolutely untrue.
