<Seung-ga> is a type of the love song that a Buddist nun makes questions and answers with a man. Since there are still some discussions whether the <Seung-ga> was a non-fiction story, my work aims to confirm that the <Seung-ga> is a real story and to point out who was the author and when it was written, based mainly on the 『Chu-je-jeep』 written by Jo Su-sam.The main findings of my work are summarised as follows. Firstly, I suggest that authors were both 'Nam Cheol' who belonged the upper class and 'Ok Seon' who was a Buddist nun. Secondly, I guess that the <Seung-ga> was made in around 1723.In addition, I found that the <Seung-ga> was very popular in that time so that it was recorded very frequently and continuously in 『ga-sa-jeep』, the music collection book.
