ABSTRACT

本研究は男性介護労働者の経験を分析することで、高齢者介護労働におけるジェンダー構造と特性を考察する。 本研究における男性介護労働者は女性介護労働者に比べ、ジェンダーヒエラルキーの上部に位置するにもかかわらず、大黒柱としての男らしさと介護労働遂行の価値が衝突している。さらに男性であるために求められる職務を遂行することによって、介護労働は性別職務分離が行われており、性別間の賃金格差を拡大させる。かかる男性労働者の経験は逆説的に女性労働者の不安定な地位と役割を浮き彫りにする。介護労働におけるジェンダーの期待と責任を維持したまま、男性介護労働者が増えるだけでは、さらなる介護労働のジェンダー秩序を再生産させる恐れがある。 従って、本研究は介護労働におけるジェンダーの格差を解消する方法として、介護労働の専門性強化の必要性を強調する。
