AB - The study is to determine the status of pop music education. And it is intended to provide direction to move this pop education. Literature popular songs in the proportion accounted for slightly more than 3% in the whole of modern lyrical genre. In addition, Korean education was not used, as in the title text. It shows the location of the pop music. Pop music presented in textbooks has been mainly recognized as a sub-genre of lyric. But it did not take into account the unique characteristics of aesthetics and communication of pop music. Therefore, feature or as singing, multimedia characteristics, it is necessary pop music education has been utilized like a reflection of the immediate social conditions. To this end, the study presented some specific ways to achieve this. First, the educational content to learn the difference between the medium and the second is educational information to understand the genre as a lyrical singing, and the third is an activity that can understand the emotion of contemporary pop. If these activities are widely studied educational literature acceptance of pop is expected to increase gradually.
