ABSTRACT

hese days, mobile shopping has become competitive with the widespread of mobile devices including smart phones and tablets and online shopping consumers now have wider choice with the emergence of various channels. In particular, the number of overseas direct purchasing and purchasing amount have been on the continuous increase. It means that consumption pattern that is not hindered by national boundary and time becomes general trend. Therefore it is time to identify the reason for growth of global online shopping malls to develop domestic online shopping malls and approach to overseas customers through "reverse overseas direct purchasing" (which is the opposite word for "overseas direct purchasing" meaning that foreign consumers purchase Korean products through online shopping malls). The purpose of this study is to analyze the current state of overseas direct purchasing in Korea and look at the ways for development in the future.
