ABSTRACT

This study attempts to look over an aspect of the practical process in literature education for cultivating creative person. To this, the range of this study limited the literary creativity despite characteristics of the interdisciplinary and cross-boundary creativity. Creativity in literature education includes the creative reception and production. And it needs to be expanded to the discussion of general creativity. The creative reception is associated with the creativity of interpretation that attention to the features of literature and relate to the object in the sense of self. This requires the subject's creative intervention, and it reconstructs the experience of subject's life. Then it will be appeared creative production. In this process, the positive attitude of the teacher about creativity and the methods to induce learner's creativity are a major factor in education. As a starting point for this, this paper examined the recognition about literary creativity focusing on curriculum and textbooks. As a result, the creativity in the practical process of literature education relates to the expansion and the convergence of thinking. With regard to creative production, it appeared extensible activities of the general writing. In order to approach the nature of creativity, literary creativity education needs various and more specific activities in terms of creative reception. And in textbooks, the creative activity should be clearly conceptualized.
