ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics and moral identity of moral person by teacher's college students. 117 teacher's college students from two universities responded to a opened questionnaire asking about the ways moral person they perceived as morally acted. In the most frequency of these categories, they perceived that moral person was "a man of conscience". And these responses were coded and analyzed into 4 categories through exploratory factor analysis : faith, trust, righteous, principled. These different categories of moral person indicates that moral person can be perceived in a variety of ways. In particular, It was found that they evaluated the category of “trust" is the most important character of moral person(M=3.99). In addition, it was showed that the affirmation is high evaluated rather than the internalization in Moral Identity by teacher's college students. Otherwise, It was found that there were no relation between the perception of moral person and moral identity.
