ABSTRACT

The purpose of the study was to analyze and consider the study trend of domestic elementary invention education on the basis of thesis for degree and thesis in journals from the starting of invention education in 1980s to Feb. 2010 and to suggest a right direction of study. The study selected 76 theses and set up type of presentation statement, subject of research, method of research and researcher’s features as its standard through consideration of related literature. Three researchers carried out analysis and consultation twice. The results of the study were as follows. First, in type of presentation of study on elementary invention education, theses in academic journals were more than theses for degree. Second, instudy subject of elementary invention education, most of trends were inclined to teaching, learning and curriculum. Third, the theses used survey study and experimental study for the most part. Case study and contents analysis study were partially used. However, development study and causal comparative study were not used. Fourth, in researcher’s features, independent researchers were more than joint researchers. Most of researchers belonged to universities. And researchers’ location was inclined to Seouland Gyeonggi area and Chungcheong area.
