AB - 본 논문은 프로젝터를 이용한 색상 및 기하 보정기술과 영상완성(image completion)기술을 결합하여 감소현실(diminished reality, DR)을 체험 할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 감소현실은 증강현실(augmented reality)과 반대되는 개념으로 실세계에 존재하는 불필요한 객체 혹은 정보를 가상으로 은닉함으로써 사용자 에게 시각적 편의를 제공하는 기술이다. 기존에 데스크탑 혹은 HMD 기반의 감소현실 기술은 개발된 사례가 있으나, 프로젝션 기반의 감소현실 기술에 대한 개발 사례는 없었다. 최근 고화질, 경량의 프로젝터의 일반화와 함께 프로젝션 기반 디스플레이의 응용분야가 크게 증가하고 있음을 감안해 볼 때, 프로젝션 기반의 감소현실 기술에 대한 요구는 크게 증가할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 프로젝션 기반의 감소현실을 구현하기 위한 기술적 과제들을 해결하고 그 응용사례를 제시함으로써 프로젝션 기반의 감소현실 시스템의 펼요성 및 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.
