ABSTRACT

This research is about the differences in the meaning of "a good child" between Korea and Japan, based on moral experiences. For the purpose of this, participant observation and interview with kunmaum kindergarten of korea and kawa kindergarten of japan had been done. For the meanings of "a good child" in Korea were children who obey what teacher says, follow the rules, and who are patient at difficult situation. In Japan, "a good child," was who do not attept to do bad things, behave in group, and who are being careful. We examined the meaning of "a good child" between Korea and Japan in the point of relationship, space and period.
